CNC Machinist - First Shift
Azon is a world leader in technology used in the manufacture of thermally efficient aluminum window, storefront, curtain wall and specialty chemical products. Azon is headquartered in Kalamazoo, Michigan with operations in the United States, South Korea, and the United Kingdom. We currently have an outstanding first shift opportunity for a CNC Machinist.
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for programming, set-up, and operation of CNC equipment and will produce and inspect machined parts for Azon custom equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Program, set-up, and operate CNC mills and lathes
- Operate manual machines and tools including mills, lathes, drill press, grinder and saw
- Will manage multiple machines
- Machinist will produce machinery parts using a variety of metals including steel, stainless and aluminum
- Research and maintenance of tooling
- Maintains calibration of all personal inspection equipment.
Education, Skills and Experience
- High School degree or equivalent. Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program or a CNC Machinist certificate preferred
- Mastercam software proficiency is required
- At least two years operating CNC mills and lathes
- Must be able to interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Familiar with reading micrometers, calipers and standard measuring equipment
- Ability to interpret and edit CNC programs to meet all print requirements
- G&M code programming preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good work ethic and teamwork skills
